  • Michael Lester struggles to stand up during a therapy session as lead physical therapist Steve Walczak, right, therapy technician Kayla Fitz, and occupational therapist Sally MacKay assist him. Rockledge resident Michael Lester, 32, arrived at Viera Hospital’s Emergency Department on August 7th with symptoms of COVID-19 and was intubated just one day later. Michael spent nearly 7 weeks in the ICU battling the illness. He is undergoing physical and occupational therapy at Brooks Rehabilitation Hospital in Jacksonville to recover from the effects of his illness.<br />

  • The Canonical Coronation of the image of Our Lady of La Leche took place at the Cathedral Basilica of St Augustine Sunday afternoon. A huge crowd viewed the ceremony on a jumbotron at the National Shrine of Our Lady of La Leche at Mission Nombre de Dios and were on hand for the procession and presentation of the statue and its installation in the Chapel of Our Lady of La Leche.<br />

  • Firefighters Rex Danely and Brad Moon of the Cass County Fire District battle a car fire on September, 5, 2018. According to Cass County Sheriff’s Deputy Pat Zeider, at about 2:20 p.m., a dark-colored Saturn Ion was traveling westbound on CR 100 N when it stalled out at the intersection of US 35. When the driver exited the vehicle, he heard a loud noise and saw that the vehicle was on fire. When Sgt. Zeider arrived, he tried to extinguish a burning tire with a fire extinguisher, but saw that the vehicle was leaking gas, which was also starting to burn. Royal Center Fire Department also responded to the fire scene.

Monster Jam lit up TIAA Bank Field Saturday night as the drivers performed all kinds of tricks and aerobatics through the rain and mud for the appreciative audience.   • A bugler blows "Taps" as the first flags begin to burn. In observance of Veterans Day, VFW Post 2775 located in Orange, Texas on 16th Street conducted a proper Flag Retirement Ceremony on Saturday morning. Members of the post held a ceremony to retire the unusable flags, burned them as a group, and then buried the ashes in the flag cemetery outside the post.The flags are collected at the post, the post office, and were dropped off the morning of the retirement ceremony.
